BEYOND 2026 AUGUST MEETING: UZODIMMA CELEBRATES IMO WOMEN, REAFFIRMS THEIR PLACE IN STATE DEVELOPMENT By Vivian Iwu *** OWERRI — In Imo State, the August Meeting has evolved beyond an annual homecoming. It has become a powerful expression of the strength, resilience and collective influence of women in shaping families, communities and the wider society. That significance came alive at the Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu Square (RANKS), where Governor Hope Uzodimma joined his wife, the First Lady of Imo State, Chief (Mrs) Chioma Uzodimma, Esq., and women from across the State and the diaspora for the Grand Finale of the Imo Women 2026 August Meeting. For the Governor, the occasion was not merely ceremonial.
