Orlu Local Government Suspends Umutanze Town Union Executive Amid Leadership Tussle

The Orlu Local Government Area administration has directed the immediate suspension of the existing executive of the Umutanze Development Union over an impending crisis threatening peace, unity, and security in the Umutanze Autonomous Community.


To ensure there is no leadership vacuum, the Council has appointed a caretaker committee to oversee the affairs of the community.


The appointed members are:

- Hon. Nze Hyginus Iroegbulam – Chairman

- Mr. Hyginus Okolie – Secretary

- Mr. Ben Amadi – Member

- Mr. Chibuike Okoro – Member

- Mr. Arinze Nwenyi – Member

- Mr. Chijioke Obiukwu – Member

- Mr. Chimaobi Okolie – Member


The committee is to oversee community affairs pending when a proper election is conducted into the executive of the town union.


The announcement was made by Pastor Christian Okechukwu Mbarie, Executive Chairman of Orlu Local Government Area.
