ISWAP Terrorists Surrender—But Why Now?

Two suspected ISWAP terrorists have surrendered to Nigerian Army troops in Borno State, handing over weapons and revealing they were part of a group of ten members who planned to surrender.
Chida (20) and Kaka Kau (21) gave themselves up to troops of Headquarters Sector 3 at Chile, Mungunu Town. They surrendered with:
Two AK-47 rifles
Eight rounds of 7.62mm ammunition
Two magazines
Five mobile phones (Infinix, TECNO, Samsung, Redmi, TECNO button phone)
Earbuds, power bank, ATM card, memory card with USB cable
Interrogation revealed they were among ten ISWAP members who left a terrorist camp at Arena Chiki with the intention of surrendering to authorities.
