ABUJA – The House of Representatives Ad Hoc Committee investigating the proposed Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council has uncovered approximately 58 bank accounts allegedly linked to its Director General, Prince Adenyeye Adeyemi, in a discovery that has sent shockwaves through the National Assembly.


Committee Chairman Yusuf Gagde revealed on Wednesday that investigators had traced an alleged 400 million Naira transaction that may have involved fraudulent representations. The findings emerged as the panel presented its preliminary report to parliamentary correspondents in Abuja.


In what appears to be an elaborate financial network, over 30 of the identified accounts have been "uprooted" – a term sources suggest means they were closed or moved – and were held in the names of about nine agencies, companies, foundations, or related entities connected to Adeyemi.


Preliminary information obtained from financial and investigative institutions showed that Adeyemi's Bank Verification Number and other identifying details were linked to a complex web of personal, corporate, organisational, and foundation accounts.


"The ownership, control, and purpose of these organisations raises serious questions," Gagde told journalists, promising that the full committee report would contain more detailed findings.

The committee has given Adeyemi 48 hours to respond to the allegations or face possible arrest warrants.
