Edo Queens Lose Final Group Match But Still Advance

Edo Queens FC lost to Ampem Dakar Marys of Ghana by 2-1 in their last Group B match of the 2026 WAFU Women's Champions League qualifiers played in Agadigo, Burkina Faso on Sunday, August 30.


Despite the loss, Nigeria's representatives, Edo Queens, had earlier qualified for the semifinals of the competition and will now face USFA Ladies of Burkina Faso on Wednesday.


Edo Queens finished top of the group with 11 points from three matches, which is the best-scoring record in the competition so far.
