​A shocking and gruesome incident has thrown a community in Anambra State into deep mourning.

​A 20-year-old man, Pascal Obuogwu, was arrested by police operatives from the Nnobi/Nnewi area with the help of family members and local vigilantes after he allegedly attacked his 56-year-old father with a machete in Apatete, Idemeli North Local Government Area. According to the Anambra State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, the suspect committed the crime on Tuesday evening before fleeing the scene, and the victim's remains have since been evacuated to the morgue for autopsy.
