​GLASGOW, SCOTLAND — Nigerian para-athlete Goodness Nwachukwu delivered a masterclass performance at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, winning the gold medal in the women's discus throw while smashing her own world record.  

​Nwachukwu dominated the competition, launching a record-breaking final throw of 39.66 meters to secure Nigeria's first gold medal in the event and add to Team Nigeria’s growing medal tally.  

​Her historic victory headlined an action-packed Day 6 at the Games, alongside Australia’s dominant performance in the pool and England’s victory in men's 3x3 basketball.
