The Federal Government's drive for cleaner, greener households is ramping up in full force! As part of the rollout of the National Grassroots LPG Penetration Programme (NGLPP), no fewer than 27,000 liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders have been distributed to women in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

The Ministry of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas) emphasized that the initiative under the Decade of Gas Initiative underscores the administration's commitment to ensuring that Nigerian natural gas directly benefits everyday citizens. Highlighting the launch of the Rural Women Empowerment Initiative for Entrepreneurship Development, officials stressed that national development is deeply tied to the productivity, health, and dignity of women.

Let's discuss: Will initiatives like this successfully drive households away from expensive or hazardous cooking fuels, and what more needs to be done to lower gas prices? Share your thoughts!
