Smuggling Alarm: NDLEA Intercepts Cocaine Hidden in Phone Chargers Bound for Saudi Arabia

​Abuja — The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has issued a stern fresh warning to the public following the interception of a sophisticated drug consignment consisting of cocaine cleverly concealed inside everyday phone chargers destined for Saudi Arabia.

​NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi disclosed that operatives uncovered the illicit drugs despite their innocent appearance, highlighting how desperate traffickers are exploiting routine electronic items to bypass airport security. The agency reiterated its standing warning to Nigerians: never accept packages, parcels, or luggage from anyone for delivery without thorough, absolute verification of the contents.
