Abuja — The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has moved to calm public anxiety, assuring citizens that passport services remain fully available nationwide despite the relocation of passport printing operations to its central personalisation centre at the service headquarters in Abuja.

Clarifying the administrative shift, the NIS emphasized that the centralization applies strictly to the printing stage of passport production. Applicants can still seamlessly process, apply, and complete their capture at any preferred passport office across Nigeria or at designated Nigerian embassies and consulates worldwide, ensuring that routine service delivery faces zero disruptions.

What are your thoughts?

Do you think centralizing the printing process will speed up passport collection times or create new bottlenecks?
