Abuja — Nigerians can finally breathe a sigh of relief when dealing with civil documentation. The National Population Commission (NPC) has officially expanded its digital civil registration system nationwide, introducing VitalReg—a fully digital platform that allows citizens to initiate birth and death registrations and apply for official certificates online without stepping foot into a physical office.

Launched as part of the federal government's broader push to digitize public services, the platform aims to eliminate traditional bureaucratic delays, cut down travel friction for remote communities, and build a reliable national database for future planning in health and education.
