   The maiden mega summit on leadership and governance organized by the AG Professionals, Owerri Districts with the theme "AG Nigeria and the mandate of governance" took place last Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Assemblies of God Church, Open Doors Assembly, No 53, Dick Tiger Street, Trans Egbu, Owerri.

   Speaking on the occasion, the Guest Speaker and Founder, Hope Rising for Imolites,  Amb Barr Dr Success Obioma Akagburuonye (Akaraugo Ndigbo) noted that the essence of the gathering is to enlighten the church on the need to have their brethren who seek elective position get supported in block to the fullest and work towards their successes, putting in their time, resources and prayers.

   Amb Barr Dr Akagburuonye disclosed that they were on the occasion to listen and learn from those who had gotten the good, the bad and the ugly experience in politics who are their own brothers in Assemblies of God to talk to them and also reveal how their positions and contacts have benefitted the church, urging them to allow the summit to bring a turning point in their mindset and reposition them for a better participation in the future at all levels of governance in the state and beyond.

   "We are inspired by this landmark assembly of great leaders. The alignment of church and governance is critical and this summit's focus with its vital theme "AG Nigeria and the mandate of governance", is truly prophetic for our times - Hope Rising for Imolites. May God bless you and strengthen you to do more. There is a song we sing praying for the grace of God to abound so that we can use it to work for God. This song makes a promise. With commitment we are making the promise. Do not fail to keep your own side of your covenant with God.

   If AG Professionals will come out this way with their maiden summit, if supported, they will do more. Let your money glorify God, let your  capability glorify God. It could only be God that this summit became a reality. For something to happen, there is somebody to move it. I am happy that the people who organized this summit did not only think about it but made it a reality.

   I have written a book, "Me and my God". The book reviewer, Abatti promised on the occasion to join Assemblies of God. Today, he is a beacon of hope and direction for the Assemblies of God community and Nigeria at large. I extol the AG Professionals for their vision, dedication and commitment. We are confident that the deep insight, wisdom and fellowship shared will inspire a new generation and beyond", he emphasized.

  The renowned industrialist who is also a contestant for Imo state governorship position in the 2028 election maintained that their commitment to leadership development aligns with their values and wished them a successful summit.

   In his remarks, the President, AG Professionals, Owerri Districts, Hon Herbert Udochukwu Njoku-Andrew appreciated their fathers, the General Superintendent, Assemblies of God, Nigeria, Rev Abel Ukachi Amadi PhD and all from the general council, the National Men's president and their esteemed  delegates from all the districts in the South East Zone 2, appreciating their beloved kingdom investor, Amb Chief Barr Akagburuonye for keying into their vision and graciously providing most of the funding in their first ever mega summit not only a reality, but also hugely successful and prayed God to grant them their hearts desires and through the summit raise an army that will go out to implement the communique raised out of the great event.

   Former governor of Ebonyi State, Amb Sen  Dr Sam Egwu was also one of the guest speakers on the summit.
