​Umuahia, Abia State — Mr. Wilfred Afolabi has officially assumed office as the new Commissioner of Police for Abia State, taking over from Mr. Danladi Isa, who was recently promoted to Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) and redeployed to the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Kaduna.

​Addressing journalists shortly after taking command, CP Afolabi promised to deepen existing security architectures through enhanced intelligence networks, regular stakeholder engagements to foster mutual trust, and rigorous capacity building for personnel. While assuring officers that their welfare will receive prompt attention, he sternly warned that discipline must be maintained and misconduct will not be tolerated.
