Integrity, Accountability, Transparency Key to Sustainable Leadership – Orlu Council Boss

The Chairman of Orlu Local Government Area, Pastor Chris Mbarie, has declared that sustainable leadership can only thrive when anchored on integrity, accountability and transparency.


Speaking during a courtesy visit by members of the 6th Legislative House of Orlu Council at the council headquarters, Mbarie expressed appreciation for the visit and reflected on his stewardship, saying he had remained committed to serving the people through the opportunity entrusted to him.


He reaffirmed his administration's readiness to collaborate with individuals and groups willing to contribute positively to the development of Orlu, stressing that collective efforts are necessary to achieve lasting progress.


The Council Chairman also urged the former lawmakers to remain selfless in service to the people and continue supporting the administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma for the overall development of Imo State.


Leader of the delegation, Mr. Ernest Ibeanugo, said the visit was to appreciate Mbarie for what he described as his impressive achievements, claiming the chairman had outperformed many of his predecessors. He appealed for the former legislators to be carried along in the affairs of the council.


Another member of the delegation, Mr. Shadrack Anunuegbu, encouraged the chairman to remain focused despite distractions, describing him as "God's instrument of consolation" to the people of Orlu.
