United for 2027: Massive Turnout at Ezinihite Mbaise APC Post-Primary Reconciliation Gathering

ITU, IMO STATE — The Pentagon conference hall at the Ezinihite Mbaise Local Government headquarters was stretched to its absolute limits on Wednesday, as a massive, surging crowd of All Progressives Congress (APC) faithful packed the venue for a high-stakes post-primary reconciliation meeting.

The strategic gathering—the first major party assembly since the conclusion of the congresses and primary elections—saw party loyalists, ward chairmen, elected councillors, and booth executives tightly packed inside the newly built administrative building, with many spilling out into the corridors.

The atmosphere was charged with radiant joy, loud cheers, and emotional embraces as former political rivals exchanged pleasantries, signaling a coordinated push toward the 2027 general elections.

A "Heart Full of Gratitude" and Financial Backing


Addressing the roaring crowd, the Executive Chairman of Ezinihite Mbaise L.G.A., Hon. A. C. Nwachukwu, expressed profound gratitude to the people for their loyalty and orderly conduct during the intense primary season that produced the party’s flag bearers for the State and National Assemblies.

"Be steadfast, unmovable, and continue your unflinching support to the party to ensure a landslide victory at all levels come 2027," Nwachukwu charged the audience.


To back his words with action and ease the logistics of the mammoth crowd, the Council Chairman announced the release of millions of naira to cover the transportation costs of the party faithful who traveled from various wards to grease the meeting. He further urged the people to keep faith with his "We-ism" administration and the overarching "3R" (Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, and Recovery) government of Imo State Governor, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma.


Mending Fences: The Push for Unity


With the primaries now in the rearview mirror, the central theme of the day was political healing. APC LGA Party Chairman, Comrade Charles Ndukwu, directly addressed the inevitable friction of internal party contests, calling for immediate fence-mending.

"Forgive one another in any way you were offended during the congress and the primaries," Ndukwu pleaded. "Embrace love, peace, and unity as we begin another phase of party activities that will launch us into the 2027 general elections."

A powerful contingent of party heavyweights echoed this call for absolute reconciliation. Taking turns to address the crowd, top leaders emphasized that internal squabbles must be buried to present a front strong enough to sweep the upcoming polls. Among the notable leaders preaching peace were: Sir L. M. Alozie (SAN), APC Apex Leader in Ezinihite Mbaise, Chief Sir Justus Ogu, APC State Vice Chairman 1 and Owerri Zone Chairman, Hon. Ambassador Mark Adindu, immediate past LGA Party Chairman, Chief Hillary Eke, former APC State Chairman, Chief Dr. D. O. Brown, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Mgbechi Benson, Leader of the 7th Legislative Council, Hon. Engr. Kingsley Onwubiko

A "Sacrosanct" Mandate for 2027


The collective message from the leadership was clear: delivering total victory for all the party's candidates at the 2027 polls is non-negotiable.

Leaders warned that achieving a clean sweep requires an "all hands on deck" approach, framing the upcoming election cycle not as individual battles, but as a collective task. As the meeting concluded, the heavy presence of local government executives, ward leaders, and grassroots mobilizers signaled that Ezinihite APC has officially shifted into election mode, unified under a banner of forgiveness and shared ambition.
