​LAGOS — The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has successfully generated ₦6.148 billion for the federal coffers through the public auctioning of a premium Lagos hotel and three other high-value properties seized from convicted drug cartels.


​The assets were permanently forfeited to the federal government following rigorous legal battles championed by the anti-narcotics agency.


​Confirming the financial windfall, the Director of Media and Advocacy for the NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, revealed that the multi-billion naira revenue was the direct result of a highly competitive public bidding process. The exercise involved the disposal of eight major assets formally owned by notorious drug barons across various states of the federation.
