In a dramatic twist, the United States has reportedly launched strikes on targets in southern Iran while Iranian negotiators gather in Qatar for talks aimed at peace with Washington.


The U.S. says the strikes were “self-defence” to protect troops after alleged Iranian threats around the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian sources, however, claim personnel were killed.
