It was a moment of honour, recognition, and celebration as Ezinna Aaron Onyewuchi Emeribe JP+ received a Certificate of Recognition from the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Diocese of Egbu, in appreciation of his role as Patron of the Anglican Children’s Ministry.


Ezinna Emeribe is a Staff of Imo Newspaper LTD Owerri, publishers of Statesman Newspaper. 


The recognition was presented by the Diocese of Egbu under the leadership of the Bishop, The Rt. Rev. Geoffrey Enyinnaya Okorafor, during a ceremony that highlighted commitment to children’s spiritual growth and Christian mentorship within the church community.


The Diocese of Egbu, headquartered in Egbu, Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State, described the honour as recognition of Emeribe’s support, encouragement, and commitment to the growth and welfare of children within the Anglican fold. 


Observers at the event described the moment as symbolic, noting that investment in children remains one of the strongest foundations for sustaining faith, moral values, and responsible leadership in society.


For many within the church, recognising patrons of children’s ministry goes beyond ceremony — it reflects appreciation for individuals who contribute toward nurturing young people spiritually, morally, and socially.


Speaking after receiving the recognition, attendees said the moment underscored the importance of mentorship, service, and collective responsibility in shaping the next generation of Christians and community leaders.


The honour has also sparked conversations around the growing need for stronger support systems for children within faith-based institutions and the role respected community figures can play in inspiring young minds.
